About the event
Though the 1704 House is most often associated with William Brinton, his wife, Jane Brinton, née Thatcher, played a huge role in the development of the property and the local Quaker community - and we actually know more about her personal life than we know about her husband! Find out more about Jane Brinton and early Chester County, Mary and Susana Brinton and the women's suffrage movement, the first practicing female lawyer in Chester County, Isabel Darlington, and Ellen Star Brinton, a pioneer in international relations and humanitarian relief projects.
